Licensees can access the 2023 Annual Report Filing through the Law Society Portal. The Annual Report Filing must be submitted by March 31, 2024.

January 22

Last day to enrol in Annual Pre-Authorized Payment Plan (Annual PAP) for annual fee. Licensees registering for the Annual PAP will be eligible for a discount of up to $50 on their 2024 annual fee. The discount will be prorated according to the licensee's fee category. Register for the Annual PAP through your Law Society Portal account. There is no administration fee for this payment option.

2023 Civil Society Organizations Report due. Failure to file by this date may result in de-registration of the organization as a CSO.

January 31

Certified Specialist annual fee and the Certification Annual Report due. Failure to submit the report and payment by this date will result in revocation of certification.

January 31

Payment deadline for Law Society Referral Service annual membership fees. Failure to pay the invoice will result in removal from the service.

LAWPRO real estate and civil litigation transaction levy filings and payment (if any) are due for the quarter ended December 31, 2023

LAWPRO last date to qualify for a $50 early payment discount on the 2024 policy premium

Last day to enrol in Monthly Pre-Authorized Payment Plan (Monthly PAP) for annual fee. There is an $80 (including HST) administration fee for this payment option.

First Monthly Pre-Authorized Payment Plan withdrawal. Continues on the fifth business day of each month from April to December.

2024 annual fee payment deadline. Failure to pay the annual fee by this date will result in referral for administrative suspension. (Not applicable to licensees enrolled in the Pre-Authorized Payment Plan.)

2023 Annual Report Filing must be submitted by March 31. Lawyers and paralegals who fail to complete and submit their Annual Report Filing by March 31 are subject to administrative suspension of their licence.

Final date for lawyers and paralegals subject to the 2023 CPD Requirement to record all required hours in the Law Society Portal. Failure to complete and record required CPD Hours will result in a referral for administrative suspension.
