Licensees subject to the CPD Requirement must complete three Professionalism Hours of accredited programming focused on equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI Hours), by the end of 2020.  Licensees will be required to complete one EDI Hour per year of accredited programming thereafter.  EDI Hours count towards the licensee’s Professionalism Hours for the year in which they are completed. See FAQs for more information.

The Law Society has produced a 3 Hour eCourse on advancing Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in the legal professions, available at no charge.

In addition, the Law Society has developed a toolkit to assist legal workplaces in designing and delivering their own program focussed on advancing Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in the legal professions. The toolkit consists of a Facilitator’s Guide, Participant’s Guide and Bibliography  to allow workplaces to present their own program, pre-accredited for EDI Professionalism hours.
