Paralegal Education Program Accreditation

The Law Society governs and regulates paralegals providing legal services in Ontario in the public interest. Individuals seeking to become licensed paralegals in Ontario generally must, in addition to being of good character, meet two fundamental licensing conditions: graduation from an accredited paralegal education program in Ontario and successful completion of the paralegal licensing examination. Colleges of applied arts and technology and private career colleges wishing to offer an accredited paralegal education program must apply to the Law Society for accreditation.
