Printing and photocopying

Printing is available from most library computers. Printouts can be picked up at the Centre Desk in the Main Reading Room. Photocopiers are located on the second floor, off the Main Reading Room. A microfiche/film machine with printing capabilities is located in the Reference Room.

Costs for printing and photocopying

  • 25¢ per page, using debit or credit; cash is not accepted
  • 20¢ per page with a copy card.

Copy cards may be purchased for $1 and any value can then be added to the card via debit or credit.

Meeting room

The Great Library has a meeting room available for Law Society licensees needing a quiet and private space for client consultation or trial preparation.

  • Available Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  
  • Accommodates up to eight people
  • Equipped with a white board, internet access, LED projector and retractable screen.

How to book the room

There is no charge to book the library meeting room. To reserve the room, email us at greatlibrary@lso.ca (Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and provide the following information:

  • Your name and affiliation
  • Law Society member number
  • Date, and start and end time for your reservation
  • Purpose for booking the room (client meeting, trial preparation, mediation, etc.).

Please note:

  • Meeting room may not be booked for use as a private study or office space, or to provide CPD programs, seminars, workshops or professional development sessions.
  • Meeting room may be booked by any one licensee for up to three consecutive hours per day and 15 hours per month. Time restrictions may be waived for same day trial preparations.
  • Food is prohibited in the meeting room. Beverages in covered containers are permitted.
