The Great Library offers free virtual events and training sessions for Law Society of Ontario licensees and their agents at designated periods during the spring, summer and fall. Only licensees, licensing candidates and individuals employed by licensees are eligible to register. 

Great Library orientation (spring/fall)

Learn about the library’s print and electronic resources as well as how we can assist you with your research. These sessions provide a great opportunity to ask questions about the Great Library.

Legislative research refresher (spring/summer/fall)

In this one-hour group tutorial, review the fundamentals of legislative research with one of our law librarians. Topics include an overview of the legislative process (Ontario and federal), effective time-saving tools, and a live demonstration of common legislative research tasks. 

Ideal for: licensing candidates, new licensees and seasoned researchers who don’t often work with legislation.
