The Lincoln Alexander Award

As part of the annual Law Society Awards ceremony, the Law Society presents The Lincoln Alexander Award to recognize an Ontario lawyer or paralegal who has demonstrated a commitment to the public through community service. Learn more.

The Laura Legge Award

The Law Society recognizes woman lawyers from Ontario who have exemplified leadership within the profession with the Laura Legge Award, presented annually as part of the Law Society Awards ceremony. Learn more.

The William J. Simpson Distinguished Paralegal Award

The Law Society annually bestows the William J. Simpson Distinguished Paralegal Award upon a paralegal that has demonstrated outstanding professional achievement, made a contribution to the development of the profession, or shown distinction in other ways. Learn more.

The J. Shirley Denison Award

In April 2015, Convocation approved the establishment of an award in honour of former Treasurer John Shirley Denison, to be bestowed annually in recognition of significant contributions to access to justice and/or poverty issues. Both paralegal and lawyer licensees of the Law Society of Ontario are eligible for this award, established to honour Denison’s commitment to helping others. Learn more

Human Rights Award

Honorary LLD
